Extensively tested, the company’s products deliver the most impressive performance and exceed the most demanding expectations. All Radium products are carefully designed with thorough R&D and expertly built in-house using the latest computer simulation and modeling techniques to provide second-to-none quality. Radium® is a trusted automotive manufacturer that offers an expanding collection of motorsport parts and accessories for high-performance and racing vehicles. Furthermore, the internal tube and hoses are a special fluoroelastomer formulation that is suitable for submersion in all types of fuel. All internal wires are gasoline, ethanol, and methanol compliant. The FCST uses high current stainless steel wiring terminals. This helps eliminate unwanted air bubbles and fuel foam that can affect fuel pump and engine performance. The return port has a tangential entry into the FST canister creating a swirl pot. Because all of the compatible pumps utilize an integrated check valve, the FCST merges all pumps into a single outlet simplifying external plumbing. All of this is done inside the fuel cell with the FCST. Excess fuel in the integrated surge tank bleeds out into the fuel cell without the need of expensive hoses and fittings. This volume is also maintained by the "return" from the FPR. The volume of fuel inside the surge tank acts as a buffer always keeping the surge tank pump(s) supplied with fuel. The "lift pump" mounts next to the surge tank canister and keeps the chamber filled. The fuel pumps inside the surge tank provide the primary fueling to the engine. The optimized 2.2 liter canister supports 1, 2, or 3 internally mounted surge tank pumps capable of over 4000HP (Gas 3bar, BSFC. Radium does not recommend mounting this surge tank horizontally, as the pick-up may be prone to drawing in air pockets. The FCST uses the tried and true Radium Engineering fuel surge tank system preferred by professional motorsports teams worldwide. However, if larger fittings are required, they can be purchased separately HERE. The 3 black ports are used for fuel entering and exiting the surge tank. These ports are tapped to 3/4-16 (8AN ORB) and three -6AN male adapter fittings are provided. The pump feeding the engine, draws fuel from the surge tank, with excess returning from the fuel pressure regulator back to the surge tank. Excess fuel is then routed back to the main tank (or fuel cell). It features a large 2.21L (0.58 gallon) canister and a 5/8" (10AN) single pick-up tube, as shown below.Ī "lift pump" is required to supply fuel to the HVFST. It is ideal for high flow external fuel pumps requiring a large reservoir and feed line. Radium Engineering 20-0081 high volume fuel surge tank (HVFST) was designed for users that already have a secondary external fuel pump. Lifetime Warranty on all Radium components Removeable O-Ring Sealed Billet 6061 Aluminum Caps Extruded and Machined 6061 Aluminum Canister This is an excellent fueling solution for vehicles installing large demand power upgrades such as forced induction. The surge tank also provides a quick and easy way to upgade any standard fuel system. Excess fuel in the surge tank is returned back to the vehicle's main fuel tank. This volume is maintained by the main fuel tank's pump as well as the fuel returning from the fuel pressure regulator. The volume of fuel inside the surge tank acts as a buffer to always keep the FST pump supplied with fuel. The FST fuel pump(s) feed the fuel rail(s). A fuel surge tank (FST) is designed to prevent fuel starvation to the engine on vehicles with inadequate fuel tank baffling.
